In August, NZRC engaged two of New Zealand's most respected and
fearsome sportsmen - Tawera Nikau and Wayne (Buck) Shelford - to
tell a powerful story about the Safety Warrior to our staff,
contractors and their families.
Not only did Tawera and Buck draw parallels from their sporting
and personal lives, they also told a passionate story of ancient
warriors and how the warrior concept translated into modern
society.
More than just a story, this event was a highly entertaining
stage show our families could relate to and enjoy. Here is a short storybook that
explains in a condensed version, what the Safety Warrior is all
about.
During their time with NZRC, Tawera and Buck attended other
engagements on Tuesday 2nd, Wednesday 3rd and Thursday 4 August to
help support our local community, clubs and schools.
