Designation places the pipeline in the public domain for the
first time since it was installed and will allow input by NZRC to
any Plan changes, developments, sub-divisions at the planning
stage. This will provide a safe and agreeable outcome for all
parties and greatly assist those desiring change.
Council's have already included the pipeline on their respective
District Plans to advise the public of its presence and the
required conditions, restrictions and advice notes. For an example
refer to the link below. The pipeline corridor is indicated
with a dotted purple line
